Couples Bible Study

We are currently studying Better Halves: Get Clear on…Money. Join us as Amy Head and Dr. Doyle Hamilton talk about how money is more than just dollars and cents, how our families affect the way we view money, what happens when spenders and savers get married, how to be generous no matter what we have, and how we can show gratitude.

Join us in E350 on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM for this 6 week study.

The Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg Hunt is March 25th!
Please help us make our goal of 3,000 eggs by donating stuffed Easter eggs. You can drop them off in bins located at the Information Center on the 3rd floor. No chocolate please. Candy must be individually wrapped.
We need the eggs by Wednesday, March 21st.

MISSION OF THE MONTH – MARCH: Our focus this month is our Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO), with a theme of “On Mission HERE & NOW”. Your prayers and financial support through this offering are critical provisions for our missionaries throughout North America. Thank you for your donations of $1,871 thus far as we look towards our goal of $18,000 this year.

“His Light” Youth Ensemble: Singing next Sunday (March 18th) at both 8:30 a.m. and 11: 00 a.m. worship services. Director: Rev. Jerry Tyler

Save the Date: March 16-17 - SALT trip to Colquitt, Georgia for SWAMP GRAVY, a folk play presented by the local community in the Cotton Hall Theatre. Call Ira to sign up. Cost will be $192 per person-double occupancy, single rate $272.00. Limited number of rooms so first come first served.

Parent’s Night Out-Happy St. Patty’s Day: Saturday, March 17th 6pm-9pm for children birth through 5th grades. Your kids will make crafts, watch a movie, and enjoy yummy treats. Cost is only $10 for 1 child and $20 for 2 or more. Click Here to sign your child up!

Ladies’ Bible Study (Morning): A 4-week study beginning Wednesday, March 7th, in the Joyhouse from 9:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. The study is called The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. Cost for study book is $10.00.

WMU: Our Spring Event presented by the Georgia Baptist WMU & Women’s Ministry will be April 13th – 14th at the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott, Stone Mountain. View details and register at: Registration deadline: March 16th.

Journey of Christ: During the Lenten Season, there will be a different display each week in the Narthex. Stop by and see the Journey of Christ from his suffering through to the Resurrection. This week the Narthax display focuses on things to come in Christ's suffering by the addition of the nails of the cross.

Flowering Cross: This Easter we will have a flowering cross on the front lawn of the church to represent the new life that Jesus brings for us all. If you would like to donate money for flowers in memory or honor of someone, you can do so at the Information Center. The cost is $10 per bouquet. March 25th will be the last day you can sign up.

Talent Show and Finale –Sunday, March 25th at 6pm in the Gym: Please join us as our Children’s Choirs present the annual Talent Show and Finale for the choir year. The event will include individual acts (singing, dancing, instrumentals, and more) and all of the choirs will be singing. (Children’s Choirs will have their final rehearsal at 5:30p.m. prior to the performance.)

Maundy Thursday Service: Thursday, March 29th, 7 PM in the Sanctuary. Join us for this special service as we remember the death of Christ and prepare for His resurrection.

The Apostle’s Creed: On Wednesday, April 11th, Dr. Head will begin a new series on The Apostles’ Creed during Pastor’s Bible Study. Join us as we dive deeper into the essential Christian doctrines that make up the foundation of our faith and explore how these truths help us navigate the world from a sound theological perspective

SALT-Friday April 13. Mystery Trip: Please join us for a day to enjoy God’s beautiful world. We will leave the church at 8:00 am and return by 5:00 pm. Minimal walking but wear comfortable shoes. Cost is $50 which includes transportation and surprise. Lunch will be on your own.Sign up with Ira by Friday, April 6.

Roswell Day of Hope: Our church has the opportunity to serve alongside other groups from the area on Saturday, April 14th at Mimosa Elementary School from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Our group will be helping serve food to individual families coming for items of need and service. If you would like to serve, please contact Robert or Larry Feldman. Teenagers can receive community hours. Even if you can only serve for a few hours, we would love for you to join us.

Family Putt Putt: Bring your family to the Fringe (Area 51 Complex) on Saturday, April 14th, from 10 AM- Noon for putt putt! $5 per person, includes two hours of putt putt and a snack pack. Sign up online here or at the Information Center today!

“Trio of Praise: Simply God:” Mark your calendars for April 15, 2018! You do not want to miss this special concert presented by the Chancel Choir and Orchestra. Come at 3:00pm and enjoy the works of Dan & Heidi Goeller, Joseph Martin, and Mary McDonald.

Save the Date: April 28th from 2-5pm! Join us as we celebrate the Tylers and their 34 years of ministry here at First Baptist Roswell.

National Day of Prayer–Thursday, May 3rd: The 67th Annual National Day of Prayer observance will be held at noon on the grounds of the Roswell City Hall. Mark your calendars now to participate in this community gathering. Watch for more details closer to the event.

Junior Usher Announcement: Our children are getting more involved in worship! From time to time, you will see some of our children being junior ushers: greeting, handing out bulletins, and helping take up offering. We are thrilled to welcome them as junior ushers!

Save the Date-Golf Tournament: Our 20th Annual Golf Tournament for Missions will be June 4th at Brookfield Country Club. Mark your calendars now!
