Financial Administrator

 

Overview

First Baptist Roswell is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-minded Financial Administrator to join our church staff. This full-time position plays a vital role in managing the church’s financial operations and supporting the ministries of the church. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nonprofit or church accounting practices, be proficient in financial software (especially ACS), and demonstrate integrity, accuracy, and discretion in all financial matters.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain financial records for the church, including providing assistance as needed for the First Baptist Roswell (FBR) Foundation and FBR Kindergarten
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, payroll (including clergy payroll), and contributions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and assist in budget development
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and internal church financial policies
  • Support financial aspects of church committees, including Budget/Finance, Audit, and Personnel
  • Reconcile bank accounts, monitor fund balances, and manage financial software (ACS)
  • Provide documentation for annual audits and other financial reviews
  • Work with church staff and ministry leaders to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in financial and accounting software (ACS experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, nonprofit financial management, and payroll processing
  • Ability to communicate clearly with church leadership, staff, and committee members
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in a church or nonprofit financial role is highly desirable
