MUST Neighborhood Pantry

The churches on Mimosa have partnered with MUST Ministries’ Neighborhood Pantry to provide food and toiletries to at-risk students and their families. The Mimosa pantry is located at Roswell United Methodist Church (Fellowship Hall) and is open the first Monday of each month (excludes holidays). Donations and volunteers are needed! The next neighborhood pantry is Monday, May 4th.
DONATION ITEMS:
Over the coming months, we will host special collection drives focused on items families have identified as their greatest needs. For our Pantry on May 4, we will be collecting toothpaste.
We also continue to welcome ongoing donations of large-size laundry detergent (to last a full month) and feminine hygiene products – with pads being the most requested.
Donations may be dropped off at First Baptist Roswell, and volunteers will deliver them to the pantry on distribution day.
MONETARY DONATIONS:
Monetary donations are used to buy detergent and feminine hygiene products to supplement what is donated. The pantry also buys fresh produce (apples, oranges, onions and potatoes), ground beef and tortillas for families.
Donate online HERE and designate funds to “MUST Neighborhood Pantry.” Monetary donations can also be dropped off at our church office. Just write “MUST Neighborhood Pantry” on the check or envelope to ensure credit.
VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteers are needed to pack produce and groceries, unload the MUST delivery trucks, and distribute groceries to families. After school shifts are available and are a great opportunity for youth service hours.
Volunteers are needed for Monday, May 4th. Sign up to volunteer HERE.
(Note: If teens/kids are volunteering with an adult, sign up with the number of adults attending and add the number of teens/kids in the comments section.)
ABOUT MUST:
MUST Neighborhood Pantry’s mission is to eliminate hunger for at-risk students in local schools, giving them a greater opportunity to succeed in school and life. MUST partners with schools and provides food and toiletries to at-risk students and families through their campus-based food pantry program. MUST Ministries works closely with school social workers, counselors, and staff to identify children and families in crisis. Once a month, including the summer, families can come to the pantry and choose items their families need and enjoy.
