In this fourth week of Lent, we remember that Jesus died on the cross for us. His body was broken and his blood was shed. Today, we symbolize Jesus' love for us with Holy Communion, the bread and the cup, and we prepare our hearts and ask God's forgiveness for our sins.

Have you ever betrayed a friend? Have you ever been betrayed? Matthew 26:14-16 says that Judas, one of Jesus' disciples, betrayed him for 30 pieces of silver which is about $300 in today's dollar. This is hard to understand but have we ever betrayed Jesus? In order to be socially accepted, have we denied our faith? Jesus is our friend for life and beyond and He will never betray us. Thanking God for His unwavering friendship.
