SEPTEMBER: Super Kids!

Our Mission Friends theme for September is Super Kids! All kids want to be Super Kids, and they can when they realize that God is always with them. Because God is with them, they can be brave. Because God is with them, they can be strong. Because God is with them, they can be courageous. Because God is with them, they can be wise. Our preschoolers will learn that we can do super things when we trust that God is always with us and do things His way.  Yes, super – the kind of super that really matters – comes from God, and it’s not about what WE can do but about what GOD can do. They will also learn about missionaries who are doing super things for God!

OCTOBER: Zig Zag Zone

Our Mission Friends theme for October is the Zig Zag Zone. We know things are going to happen in our preschoolers’ lives where they will need God’s help—times when their lives will zig one way and then zag another. We want them to grow up believing that God loves them and can help them anywhere, with anything, no matter how hard it may be. He can even help them help others! They will also be learning about missionaries who God is helping help others.

Wednesday Nights In the Fall
Missions for 1st - 5th Graders (RAs and GAs)

6:30-6:45 pm (Large Group) - Room 258
6:45 pm (RAs and GAs) - 2nd Floor Education Building

SEPTEMBER: Lunchroom Friendship

In our Large Group time (6:30-6:45 in Room 258), our 1st-5th graders will be learning what it means to be a friend. Our September theme for Large Group is Lunchroom Friendship. We’ll be learning about famous friendships in the Bible and how friendship reflects the character of God. At 6:45, our 1st-5th graders will split up into RAs (1st-5th grade boys) and GAs (1st-5th grade girls) and learn how missionaries are showing God through friendships with others, and how they can do missions in our community.

OCTOBER: Use It or Lose It! Don't Waste What You've Got

Our October theme for Large Group time is Use It or Lose It! Don’t Waste What You’ve Got. It’s all about stewardship and what it means to give to God.God created the entire world—the land and sea, planets and galaxies, animals and people. And when people create, those people do so because of the gift and talents that God gave them. It’s our job to take care of what God has loaned us for a time to use in order to bring Him glory. Jesus put stewardship into action. He used the time He had on earth wisely, never wasting a moment, but always working towards God’s plan. He used what He had—from bread and fish, to dirt and spit—to perform miracles, helping people see and eat. Everything Jesus did showed us how we can take care of God’s stuff by using it the way that points people to God and fulfills the mission God has for our lives. In RAs and GAs, our kids will be learning how missionaries use what God has given them to teach others about how much God loves them.
